Permissions and roles

A note about permissions. The diagram below shows the default permissions and roles available on a new Drupal website. Notice that while an authenticated users has access to the taxonomy and comments, the menu and views modules are barred, and probably rightly so. An administrator can obviously access everything. In between, different roles can be created for selected users, as the administrators see fit.

So an authenticated user can submit, new content (or comments), and via keywords indicate where the item may fit, but until an administrator can decide its logical position in the menu structure, it is left floating. The majority of items will probably just slot straight in, but for some it maybe the start of a complete new section, or a decision is taken to split an already overcrowded section.
This presents an obvious need for a (administrators) view, which lists new content.
