Hello everyone.
This short post is to tell you about what we are doing at present to attempt to improve your experience when using this site.
It has always been a desire of SoSLUG members to offer useful, coherent information, to anyone who comes to visit us, whether in person, (and we're always delighted to welcome visitors on a Monday evening) or via this site.
One of the things regular visitors may notice, is a complete revamp of the menu system. This is a major undertaking that will probably last for several months as there are several hundred articles that need to be categorised and placed into their respective homes. The first step is to get them categorised and subsequently, we anticipate more changes to refine the system further. So please don't be surprised to find articles moving position. Any links into our site from Google for example, should be unaffected, and of course, you can still use the search function to find what you are looking for.
The SoSLUG web site is actually two sites, the menu item, Web design, is simply a link which will take you to this second site. To facilitate the proposed changes, this portion of the site is being used as a test bed for the intended changes. Take a few moments and compare the look and feelof the two sites and tell us what you think. We would welcome any constructive comments to make this site one of the best in the country, if not eventually in the world, for plain language Linux information.
We thank you for your patience while these changes are taking place. If you do experience any problems such as a broken link, it would be really helpful if you could tell us, so we can fix it - thank you!
